Collaboration and Workflow

The "need to share" has become a critical component of modern applications. Enabling collaboration with Wikis, blogs, and groupware functionality can deliver richer applications where users play a key role. Example solutions include analytic portals developed with Vignette, Liferay, or BEA Weblogic Portal managing user content deployed within the Alfresco Open Source Content Management System.

Workflow formally defines business processes for individual and community reuse. ICCI engineers have successfully developed multiple workflow-oriented projects including a large-scale deployment for iJET Intelligent Risk Systems that was awarded the Best Workflow Application in N. America by the Workflow Management Coalition and the Giga Information Group. This Java EE application modeled a complete analytic workflow including data collection, analysis, and report production and dissemination.

Other applications have included automated workflows that replace manual steps with tools such as document imaging, OCR, and document management.
